Welcome to Slabbed (“the App”), operated by Slabbed Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the App. By accessing or using Slabbed, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18 years old, you must have your parent or guardian’s consent to use the App and to agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using your email address, Apple ID, or Google account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Not share your credentials with anyone else.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or use of your account.

You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account. Login via Apple ID or Google Account is governed by their respective terms.

3. App Features

Slabbed allows you to track, manage, and monitor market values of Trading Card Game (“TCG”) cards, such as Pokémon and other collectible cards. Features may include:

  • Adding and organising cards within your collection.
  • Viewing market values, card details, and statistics.
  • Managing personal portfolios and wishlists.
  • Accessing premium features (see Section 5).

Valuation Disclaimer: Market values shown in the App are for informational purposes only and are derived from third-party data sources. Values may fluctuate and do not represent guaranteed or actual sale prices. Slabbed does not provide investment, trading, or financial advice.

4. User Content

You may upload or input your own content (e.g. custom notes, card details, wishlists). You retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide App functionality.

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Infringes on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
  • Is unlawful, offensive, or violates privacy or publicity rights.
  • Contains spam, advertisements, or malicious material.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any content you submit.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

a. Premium Features

The App offers optional paid subscriptions for enhanced functionality, which may include (but are not limited to):

  • Advanced filters and analytics
  • Cloud backup and sync across devices
  • Early access to new features
  • Ad-free experience

b. Billing

All subscriptions are processed via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. By purchasing, you agree to the respective platform’s billing and payment terms.

c. Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription period.

d. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Refunds for unused portions are not offered except as required by UK law or the relevant app-store policy.

6. Use of Camera Scanning Feature

By using the TCG card scanning feature, you acknowledge and agree that the app will access your device’s camera to capture images of trading cards for the purpose of identifying and adding them to your collection.

You are responsible for ensuring that the images you scan are of sufficient quality to be accurately identified. Slabbed is not liable for any inaccuracies resulting from poor image quality or other issues beyond our control.

The scanning feature is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the card identification. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue this feature at any time without notice. Slabbed Ltd does not store any images which have been scanned via the TCG card scanning feature.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality within the App (excluding user-generated content and third-party card data) are the property of Slabbed Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Card names, images, and related materials are the property of their respective owners and are used under fair use or relevant permissions for reference purposes.

Slabbed Ltd is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Ravensburger, or any of their respective affiliates.

Pokémon™, Disney Lorcana™, character names, images, logos, and related trademarks are the intellectual property of their respective owners.

No copyright infringement is intended.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information in compliance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us.

Termination does not relieve you of any obligations under an active subscription unless otherwise stated.

10. Disclaimer

The App and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Accuracy or completeness of card data or valuations.
  • Availability or uninterrupted operation of the App.
  • The suitability of the App for any particular purpose.

We are not responsible for any actions taken based on information provided within the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slabbed Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or profits
  • Business interruption
  • Inaccurate valuations
  • Account access issues

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • Any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Third-Party Services and Data

The App may display or rely on data provided by third-party services. We do not control or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of such data.
